On to the Cs...

C-List that is

What was that old song from when we were kids? 'Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms?' This is depressing! I know with 78 OOT guests this is what happens, but still I just invited my coworkers, FH might invite a few more of his, and if we STILL don't meet our minimum I don't know what to do...at least we tried.

I know how you feel. We invited 215 and our final count is 163. Our minimum was 175, which we thought we'd have no problem hitting, but apparently our friends and families $uck. We were able to talk NRC down to 165 but it still stinks to know so many people aren't coming.

What is your min? I think vendors can count against that if you dont meet it. Also, are there any other ppl that you never considered inviting???

Totally understand how you feel. We orginally invited 180 and our minimum is 120. We assumed we would definitely make our minimum. We invited a few more friends and some co-workers. So now our total invite count is up to 197 and we only have 115 yes! So many people said no! We were very suprised by some people that said no and we send out save the dates. And many people are not bringing a date. We may not make our minimum

Have you talked to anyone at Villa Lombardi's yet? They might be able to do something for you. And if not you can always make a LIW table!

Re: On to the Cs...

Our minimum is 125...of the now 199 invited, 106 are accounted for, with 68 Y, 38 N. 93 people are outstanding, and we need 57 of them to say yes. That doesn't sound tooooooooo bad under normal circumstances, but this is the breakdown of the 93 left:

5 in NC (but they will probably come)
2 in SC (not going to come, got the nos from their children yesterday)
12 Upstate NY (doubtful any will come)
6 RI (of which only 4 will probably come)
2 PA (won't come)
12 FL (not a chance coming)
4 Brooklyn (probably won't come)

My mother's uncle in Brooklyn called yesterday to say he wasn't coming, and I should receive that card in the mail today or tomorrow...my BM is probably not bringing a date and her parents aren't coming (verbally was told), FH's one GM won't be bringing a date...plus some of his coworkers have infants and might not be able to come, some flaky family members...pretty sure his aunt and uncle aren't bringing the toddler...with this extra bump from my coworkers, assuming they come, we'll be much closer, but unless we get a LOT of surprise yesses from the OOT-ers, we're still going to be short. Sigh.

I havent' talked to them yet, I am definitely going to bring it up when we go for our menu and stuff, which hopefully by then I'll have a better idea of what the number might be by then. In actuality, we have 74 people, not 68...including me and FH, the two outstanding BP members, and his aunt and uncle who I'm sure their card got lost in the mail but are obviously coming. That's still 50 under though!

I totally know what you mean.. We invited over 270 people and missed out minimum by like 2 people of 150 including kids and vendors! We had a lot of OOTers say no and while we totally uinderstood it was still a little depressing to know that about half of our guest list said No.

I know how you feel we had invited 93 people and only 65 said yes then the day of the wedding only 58 guests showed up.
