On vacay but found out my fmil...

Well she doesn't like my dress. With my mother being gone I wanted to show her and see her excitement. I'm on vacay at their house in El Salvador and showed her and got the response ' it's pretty' which means she does not like it. I've known her for almost 8 years so I know what her responses really mean. It doesn't change my love for my dress. I wouldn't return it even if I could cause I'm so happy with it. But i was a little hurt cause she could of at least faked it a little. I don't get to have my mom b excited about my dress so I thought I would include her and I get this response. So now I know she won't think I look beautiful on my day. I should of just kept it a secret like I planned and not known how she felt. I know that I feel beautiful in it which says a lot cause honestly I never feel that way. Im very much a Tom boy so this whole dress thing is not easy for me. Oh well. I know that my mom would have loved it cause I do :). Sorry ladies. Just needed to vent

As long as you love your dress then thats all that matters. I am sure when she see's it on you the day of your wedding she will think you're stunning!

Your dress is gorgeous and you're going to look gorgeous in it!
I got an 'eh' response from my Fiance's Mother about some DIY projects that really upset me & I've decided that now every thing can just be a surprise instead of having anyone make me second guess my style and decisions.
Don't let anyone make you second guess how YOU feel in your dress. You know your Mother would have loved it and you felt that it was THE one, then you made the right decision.
You will definitely look beautiful on your wedding day!

She will see how beautiful you look on your day...but I get it..the moment didn't live up to your expectations so it just sucks! But like you said you love it and I'm sure your mom is looking down so proud as sayinf...wth is that woman talking about its not just pretty....smile through it!

You look beautiful in the dress! Once she sees you in it on the big day, she will love it and tell you how gorgegous you look. Maybe she is just not used to the style of the dress...How do wedding gowns look in El Salvador?

What's most important is that it's your dream dress. I'm learning that you can't please everyone in this whole wedding process. I think we are all experiencing that.

The dress is stunning and you look gorgeous in it! You obviously love the dress...you can see it on your face in the pictures and that's really what matters. You can't please everyone. You love it, you know your mom would love it, and you'll be so focused on your FH on your wedding day that I'll be you'll forget all about this!
