Hi ladies! So I think I may have narrowed my choices down to two! Right now I am going between Fox Hollow and Larkfield. I love them both! Larkfield seems like it may have better food? Any reviews on this? But they are both very nice. Anyway, so I have a couple more venues to look at... I have Sterling and The Riviera on Friday so we'll see! What I really wanted to ask was would anyone be able to FM me quotes for Oheka Castle? I'm sure it's out of my price range so I wouldn't want to go there and fall in love and then not be able to afford it!!!
Thanks again ladies!! Crossing my fingers I have a date within the week!!

I'm biased because Larkfield is my venue but I have heard nothing but amazing things about the food. FH's cousin got married there and I know a few people who have gone to weddings there in the past few months and they had nothing bad to say about the food. I'm hoping to do our tasting in the fall and I can't wait. I have never been to Fox Hollow so I can't comment on their food. Good Luck on Friday!

While I am booked at Fox Hollow, I've never had the food. We plan to go to their restaurant probably for our -1 year anni lol. I was at Larkfield in June and the food didn't really impress me like they said it would when we toured there. They definitely still have a few kinks to work out with the smoothness of the way things run still as well. Either way you'll have a gorgeous wedding. Maybe request a tasting at Larkfield before booking and see if they'll give it to you.
ETA: A friend of mine looked to get married at Oheka a few years ago (probably like 5) and at that time there was an $11,000 site fee and it was around $250pp to start.

rcotter oh man! LOL that is WAYYY out of my price range!! I was only wondering because when I was negotiating a price with Larkfield, I mentioned my friend got married there 2 years ago and had received an AMAZING price for a Friday night in August. I was MOH so I was there when she booked it. The prices he gave me for fall/winter was $20-$30 more than what she paid, and he said that since they renovated, they are trying to cater more to the Oheka castle type of clientele. I didn't quite understand how he could compare a hall to a castle (lol), but just thought I'd look into their prices too! Thanks for the heads up!

My two best friends got married at Fox Hollow and Larkfield. The food was good at both. I actually was very pleasantly surprised by Larkield's food (the wedding was this past October after the renovations were complete). I liked the cocktail hour food a lot and there was a ton of food there. The entree was very good too (I'm a non-meat eater and the vegetarian entree was better than most places I've been to, so that was a big plus). At Fox Hollow, I didn't eat as much because I was the MOH and was a little anxious, but everything I did eat was really good!

Just wanted to say that I have been to Oheka Castle (I used to do Production Assistant work on some television sets) and it is a big place. Very royal looking. Lots of nice places to take photos. The staircase is especially nice, as well as the library area.

I am a little biased towards Fox Hollow as that is my venue. But I have been to two weddings at Fox Hollow and one at Larkfield - post renovations (also my prom a million years ago). Overall I think the food at Larkfield was good but I loved it at FH - that was one of the main reasons we looked at it for our own wedding.

I am booked at Fox Hollow but have never had their food. From what i have heard from people who have eaten there, they said it was great. I am trying out the food in October so I hope it lives up to everything i have heard!

Both of my cousin's got married at the Riviera and it is a beautiful venue! I haven't been to any weddings at the other places but both the weddings I went to at the Riviera were nice and memorable!

I went to an event for my school 2 years ago at Larkfield (before renovations) and I was not impressed with the food. They may have changed since then though.

My dad's colleague has his christmas parties every year at Fox Hollow and my parents said the food is never disappointing. We had appetizers the night we booked with them and they were good. We plan on going back for dinner sometime soon.
My aunt went to a wedding a few months ago at the Larkfield and called me right away and said I needed to look there asap because it was gorgeous and the food was good. We were already booked at the Somerley in Fox Hollow though so we never looked there.

Oheka quoted me $10k site fee, $275 per person.
It was not my style at all.

I been to a few wedding at Fox Hollow and the food is real good. I also been to a wedding at Oheka and the food was average, I was expecting more for their prices. However, my friend had a venetian hour and the desserts were to die for!

I definitely switched my venue from Crest Hollow Country club to Oheka Castle. Our original date was September 22, 2015. We have pushed it back a year just to have Oheka. It will be well worth it. We are able to do whatever we like, fireworks, out door gorgeous ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, their food is to die for as well as their cake. Speechless! FH gets a butler and I get a lady in waiting it's perfection at its best. Well worth the wait and money nothing comes close. If FH was willing to wait so was I. Blown away!!

I was very surprised to read that Larkfield is trying to compare to Oheka. I think that's like comparing apples and oranges. They are on completely different levels.
That being said, FH and I looked at Larkfield. It was beautiful, up to date with technology, and had plenty of room. That being said, I was unimpressed with the outside area- when we looked it was all brick. It was very pretty but I was expecting some green space. When we sat down to go over the menu and numbers, we were surprised to see that you get different menus for different times and dates. We thought this was weird and we would have to pay extra to get the same food given at a Saturday night wedding. There also weren't any hotels close by. For those reasons, we chose Fox Hollow. I never tried the food at Larkfield and I believe everyone when they say it was great. I had the food at Fox Hollow, both at the restaurant and at a wedding there, and it was good.
I think you have two great choices and will be happy with either one.

I am food obsessed and Larkfield Manor has blown me away compared to all other venues I have been to. Their food was absolutely amazing! Also, food prices go up every year so it's best to book ASAP. If someone got a price 20-30pp less a few years ago... that's normal. It's a shame how much they go up in price but booking ASAP is vital before the new year comes! I would go with Larkfield for food... unless you like FH better. I have been to both and definitely remember the food from Larkfield.

I was quoted $6k for a site fee and $200 pp catering at Oheka. We changed our date to a weekday so no competition trying to find vendors as well. I'm in love the food and desert is phenomenal but for the amount we pay it better be. You Definitley pay for what you get.
