one of my guests asked...

if they can bring their 2 year old who wasnt invited.

i have seen other people in this situation, how did you handle it. it isnt like i dislike kids, i am having my 6 year old niece and 9 year old nephew at the reception, but they are in the BP. i have another nephew that is 2 and he is not going to the reception, just the church. IMO, i think a 2 year old is a bit too young for a wedding.

my reception starts at 6.30 and i think that is a bit late for kids. how do you say politely that someone cannot bring their child?

Just say that if you allow her child to come it will cause problem with other parents you told it would not be alright to bring their kids to.

Re: one of my guests asked...

Are you close to the 2 year old?
IMHO, the couple would want the night out (away from the toddler). A wedding is a great excuse to need a sitter.

TOTALLY THE WAY TO GO. This will cause absolutely NO hard feelings and give them a definite NO without beating around the bush
