maybe you should do that and a small traditional favor to get the best of both worlds
ITA- I would do another little something with it, just incase you have those people who don't eat them so they won't feel like they were missed.
Joanna your post made me crack up to because I am the same way, the only time I will eat one of these is if i'm home with a fork and knife, lol.

I prefer caramel apples or chocolate-covered ones to candy apples. However, I'd still probably eat it - or at least split it with FH.
