Ongoing favor conflict

FH and I want to do candy apples...my mom is in such an uproar about this saying no one will like this as a favor nor will they eat it

if you got a candy apple as a favor at a wedding...would you eat it/think it was cool? or be like w*t*f?

i personally wouldnt eat it but not cause they taste like shiit, just cause they are a pain in the assss and messy to eat

they wouldnt go to waste in my house.
fh eats everything.

i think its a great fall favor

I went to a wedding that had candy apples as favors and while i dont think many people ate them they looked great on the table!

I think anything edible is usually a hit. Even if the person doesnt eat it themself-- they could give to a kid. I like the idea alot!

My sister SIl at them at her wedding last year - they where great my brotherate his and his Gf before he gotten home
they where so cute for a fall wedding!!!

ok...HONESTLY....i think the idea is super cute but this was my expereince. Last Nov my BM got married and she had they as her favors. Looked awesome packaged and on the tables but....a bunch of GM's got pretty tanked and stole them off ppls tables and started pleating one another w/them outside. also, alot and i mean a lot of ppl left them behind. I believe she had about 35 / 40 apples that no one took.

i love the look of them but have a problem eating the candy apples (my teeth break easily haha).

i would honestly hope that at $10 an apple (for those bride & groom ones) they would NOT be left behind or thrown at someone

I thought I liked candy apples and then I bit into one last Halloween and found out I only like how the look. I wouldn't say ***, but I wouldn't eat it either. I also don't think older guests would eat it either.
