so fh and i are trying to convince fbil (fh's bro) to sing up on eharmony/match one of those online dating sites.

anyone have any success stories?

I have 2 cousins who both met their spouse on match. FH also has a friend who met his current gf on match - they've been dating for almost a year now. I know a bunch of people who use either match or eharmony.

Those things are funny...

I know someone who signed up for that and her perfect match ended up being her ex-husband. lol
My MOH's friend got matched up to one of FH's friends. It's histerical cuz they will DEF not work as a couple lol.

I'm sure there are sucess stories but I personally don't know of any.

one time, just for fun... when i was actually dating someone already but working a midnight shift and board out of my mind... i took the test for eharmony. it took like two hours to fill the effing thing out.

... then it rejected me.

it told me i was part of 10% of people that cannot be matched.

i know other people it has happened to as well. i guess you have to be like super awesome to get matched.

i met FH on match.com just over 3 yrs ago ... it's definitely something that works but you have to take time with it - not just 'hey, your pic's cute, wanna go out?' ...

FH and I met through MATCH.COM!!!!!!

Dino's friend met his girl through there and kept telling him to join. He didn't think anything would come from it. neither did I!!!

And here we are getting married!

I'd do match over eharmony. Eharmony doesn't let you see profiles. I think it just gives you matches.

FH and I met from an online dating site. I've been on all of them and agree that eHarmony is the most fickle! Already been to 2 weddings where the couple met from Match.com or other sites. I def recommend people try it because it just increases your chances of meeting that special someone! Besides match and eHarmony there is plenty of fish.com, chemistry.com, and yes - even Facebook/MySpace are good places!

We met on JDate too!! I have some bad stories but also made some good friends, and of course met FH!

Just for the record: FH and I met online, FH's best friend met his wife online, FH's best friend's sister met her FH online, my cousin met his wife online....I know a TON of success stories!!! and we're only one of the many I know!

Met my fiance that way! And know 3 other couples that eventually got married. It's just like any other dating medium. You have to put effort into it and keep an open mind, but, you never know!!!

I met my Fh through match. I know of a few other couples at work and in my circle of friend who met their significany other this way.

We met on match.com!

We actually live in the same town, went to the same grade school, have mutual friends, and his best friend's sister was my babysitter when i was little!! AND WE NEVER MET BEFORE!

sometimes all you need is a little extra help. I'm a huge advocate for online dating!
