I met FH on Myspace. I didn't join myspace with the intention of meeting guys...he just happened to send me a message and I figured I had nothing to lose so I might as well respond. We ended up talking for about a year.

my friend met her b/f on AOL chat... they've been together since 2003.

one of my bm's met a guy on match.com or something and went on a date with this AWESOME guy... well she went on a few dates with him... he was AMAZING, then when she asked what was going on he said that he 'still had a month left with his subscription and would like to take advantage of it, but if i dont find someone else in the next month i'll def be exclusive to you, because you're the only girl i've CLICKED with'...

I signed up for something once, because it was totally free... yea it connected me to a guy I 'dated' in like 8th grade..

My friend Mike met his wife, Tara through eharmony. They dated for three months, then got married. They had their first baby four months ago, and I just went to the christening yesterday!

I was on there for 3 yrs on and off and dated some very random ppl. some nice some ehh. but no horror stories to tell LOL

most importantly I met FH and now we're getting married

btw, I also know of A LOT of ppl that met online and are either married or getting married.

My friend met his GF through one of them - they've been together 3 years now.

Just tell your friend to be careful - a lot of scams on those sites!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: They got engaged at Christmas!

one time, just for fun... when i was actually dating someone already but working a midnight shift and board out of my mind... i took the test for eharmony. it took like two hours to fill the effing thing out.

... then it rejected me.

it told me i was part of 10% of people that cannot be matched.

i know other people it has happened to as well. i guess you have to be like super awesome to get matched.

LMAO that happened to me too!!!!!!!!!!!! i did it once when me and FH were fighting and then i'm sitting there like 'oh great, if this doesn't work out im doomed!'

my friend met her BF on jdate. They have been together for over a year and will be moving in together in the next few months. She did meet some weirdos on there, but it only takes one!

I dated plenty of guys from Friendster, Facebook and Jdate before FH---ended up meeting FH in a bar though!

I hate when single friends complain about never meeting any quality guys but refuse to do dating websites!

I think you'll always hear success stories and horror stories with that. Most of mine were not so great experiences. I found it exhausting to look through all the profiles, however I think it can be a great way to meet people.

2 of my friends met their husbands on j-date. Funny story, one of them actually went on a date with the other one's husband when all of them were on j-date. She just realized it recently.

I seriously would love to be a spokesgirl for Eharmony....this is how I met my FI and I am sooooo glad that I joined to find him...he and I are compatible and were matched up great....I thank my lucky stars for this site every day because I would've never met him had it not been for this site.....Plus coming from a girl who had friends who had boyfriends we weren't going to places where I could potentially meet someone.....this worked out awesome for me
