OOTG question

Does anyone know where your responsibility lies with regards to out of town guests? should you provide transportation from the airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to the church? also should OOTG be invited to the rehersal dinner? any ideas would help!! Thanks

Airport to the hotel - IMO, not the bride's responsibility, nor have I seen any magazine etc say that it is. We did however block rooms at a hotel that offers a free shuttle to/from MacArthur.

Hotel to church/reception - a nice thing to do, if you can afford it. Magazines I've read have mentioned providing transportation to the reception due to alcohol consumption, but I haven't seen anything about the church. We're not making this decision until we see how many guests actually book rooms at the hotel we blocked.

OOT'ers invite to RD - most of the magazines I've read say you should do this if you can afford it. As an alternative they suggest hosting a brunch or something for the OOT guests. Personally, if you can't afford to include them on the invite list for dinner, how can you afford to host a brunch (or something)?? Since most of my BP is coming in from OOT, they are all included in the RD anyway. For the other OOT guests, they are all originally from LI and can manage on their own, since we do not have the $$ to host another event, or to include them for the RD.
