Open or Closed Toe?

I'm having a dilemma on whether to get open or closed toe shoes. I know I don't want anything too strappy either way.

Open toe - I like the idea of my pedicured toes being able to breathe.

Closed toe - Wondering if this is a bit more elegant...or is it too old fashioned?

I know you don't really see the shoes under the gown, but there are occasions when the toes peek through - or you lift your dress and shoes may show...what would I rather see - toes or a white shoe tip?

Help!

Re: Open or Closed Toe?

I would go with open, let your toes breathe!

I think closed looks very elegant (and not old fashioned at all), but not necessary for September unless it's cold or raining.

Re: Open or Closed Toe?

I am having open because I only wear open toe in the summer.

I guess it would depend on the weather.

Re: Open or Closed Toe?

I love open toe shoes, so that 's my vote. Besides, don't you want to show off your cute pedicure?!

Re: Open or Closed Toe?

I'm going to go with open toe... when I look for shoes! I just love my feet being able to breathe! I wear enough closed toe shoes for work!

Re: Open or Closed Toe?

I was dead set on closed toe shoes, then I tried on every single pair that Craft Shoes had, ordered a bunch online and couldn't find ONE single pair that was comfortable. The lady that was helping me at Craft recommended open toe after we went through all the closed toe.

I eventually found a comfortable shoe, but it is open.

My advice, go to a shoe store (like Craft or Sandys) with a large selection and start trying them on.

Re: Open or Closed Toe?

Since your date is at the very END of September I would say closed, but maybe you can compromise with a sling back.
