As we ALL know, Saturday night weddings are so much more expensive! If i have to settle for a Friday or Sunday, which would you girls think would be better??? Im planning on December 2011....

We are having a Friday night wedding. Ceremony at 6 and cocktail he right after. But its spring so we have lots of daylight. For a Dec wedding u need to do pics early when there is daylight. Check the sunset times for the dates u r considering. If u have a church ceremony and the reception later u will have less ppl at the ceremony if they can't get off work. If u have it at the hall and after work hrs u will have little daylight for pics. What u could do is do pics before the ceremony and u will have mote light. Best light is the hr before sunset.

I'm having a Friday night wedding. Satuday was just to expensive and I wanted a night wedding. I am getting married in August but I thought about December and I was still considering Friday.

We chose a Sunday afternoon (twilight). We have OOT guests that would have a hard time making it to a Friday night ceremony. Ceremony @ 2:30 CH @3 RH 4-8. This way people that need to travel are not getting on the road too late and the rest of us can continue with an after party! I think it's whatever works best for you. You know your guest list and what they can do. Good luck!

I would say Friday. If you do a later ceremony people shouldn't have an issue making it... and then no one has to go to work the next day.

I would go Friday. (I should tell you that I am getting married on a Friday). Friday just seems like it's more suited for a wedding than Sunday, IMO. However, a Sunday afternoon wedding could be nice.

I plan to send save the dates out! We are having about 100 people, family and close friends -
I look at it this way.... people WILL come to your wedding if they want to be there! The people that complain about it, don't belong there!

Friday- I feel ppl won't 'let go' knowing they have to wake up early to go to work the next day. If given enough notice , ppl would take off a day for a wedding.

I AGREE! at least mostly everyone is off on a Saturday! And most people are local so should get to the ceremony on time -
