my FH maternal grandmother is a spry 78 years old and she will be at our wedding. My grandparents are close to 90, and although I have my fingers crossed that they will be at the church, the reception is out of the question medically. My FH asked me last night if it would be ok for him to start out his dance with his mom (at her suggestion) with his grandma, and then finish with his mom. I told him this would make me very sad bc my dad's dad is no longer alive and my other grandfather can't be there. Now I feel selfish. Would it look weird if he did it this way and I just danced with my dad? We are also having a my brother/mom, his sister/dad dance and an anniversary dance, so another separate dance for them is going to be a little much. Thanks for any advice!

I really think that if he wants this then you should allow him to do it.
Honestly, I lost both of my grandmothers 4 years ago (within 3 months of each other) so I totally understand how sad you will be but since he is lucky enough to have his grandmother at the wedding he should dance with her.
If it will really break your heart, then ask him to dance with his grandmother without announcing the dance.

IT sounds like a lovely way to honor his Grandmother. But if you dont think you can focus on his love for his Mom/Grandmother and are going to be totally bummed - skip it.

I think you should honor his wish ... well atleast that's what I think I would do. Look at it the other way around, if it was you in your FH's shoes, how would you want your FH (meaning you) to respond?
