Opinion on hair

just looking for some opinions, I go for my hair trial next week.

I have medium length wavy hair and I originally planned to wear it all up, something elegant and formal like a bun or bun w/ curls.

My question is I have found some half/up half/down do's that I like.

My dress is a halter top w/ open back. What hair style do you think will look best with my dress? I want to look 'myself' yet I want to be dolled up.
