Sorry to say I think it is Please keep in mind this is my feeling and opinion. My sister is going to be my moh and has sooooo many tattoos!! I knew what i was getting myself into when i asked her to be my moh. I love her for who she is and wouldn't want her to change or hide herself for one second.
thanks for being honest...but in no way shape or form am i asking her to change who she is....i feel like its the same as choosing the bp dresses, im choosing them bc they're my pictures for life
So I'm not crazy. WHOOHOO!!! I must be a crazy bride. I am letting my bm pick there dress. The only thing i will have control over is the designer, color and fabric. Not everyone one looks good in the same dress. Agian, I must be crazy
I think Colleen might be doing this as well... She wants them to be able to feel comfortable with what their in... At least this is what I think she was saying she changes her mind a lot because we have so many different sized bridesmaids that if you get them all the same dress it will be hard for them all to look good/feel comfortable...

Re: Opinion please...
I would ask her to cover it up. Make sure you ask in a way you know she wont get offended.

I agree with what John and Teri say but you are the one that has to look at the pics the rest of your life just ask her nicely

Re: Opinion please...
There is nothing wrong with u at least asking. She is ur sister after all so if u can't ask her who can u ask.
I'll be having the same issue eventually. 1 bridesmaid has tatoos all over her arm and piercings up her ears another bridesmaid (FSIL) has a piercing on her lip and tatoos and another has eyebrow and chin piereced but i dont think any tatoos are visible.
part of me would like them to cover it up but another part know that it makes them who they are.

same here! wow ur situation sounds more complicated than mine but at the same time if you address all of them at the same time they wont feel like ur singling anyone out...i guess being honest is the best bet....let them know how you feel conflicted asking but still have to ask

Re: Opinion please...
I think you have a right to suggest it but if she is offended just drop the topic and its not like you will be taking all your pictures with your backs facing the camera.
I know someone who has a full sleeve and it looked so awesome in her wedding dress.

Re: Opinion please...
first of all that tatt is awesome!! and second i don't think is rude because that's what you want! I totally understand! but airbrushing could get expensive depending on how natural it will look you don't want it to get all over your dress if she hugs you or something so you will need someone really good

Can't hurt to ask. Worst case scenario she doesn't agree at that point I'd just let it be...

Re: Opinion please...
I dont have tatoos, and I dont like them, but would never ask.
So many times in life people get offended when it is not intended. I think there is a chance you would ask your sis and she would be perfectly fine. There is a chance you can ask and she will say no, but there is also a chance you will ask as nice as possible and she gets offended. IF this happens there will always be the elephant in the room when the wedding is dicussed.
Only you know her, but I would not ask, a 'bad' picture wont ruin my wedding but having tension between my sister would
Just being honest
edited for my terrible spelling and grammar

Re: Opinion please...
I have 2 big tattoos on each foot, one goes up to my calf n(totally 90's tribals). If someone asked me to cover them up for a wedding back when I liked them (I got them 12 years ago), I would have gotten offended. Now at 32 I wish I never got them. SHe may get mad at you now, but maybe in 5-10 years she may thank you for getting them airbrushed. And she doesn't have to see them in your wedding photos for years to come.

Re: Opinion please...
i dont think its rude to ask, but that may be bc i dont have any tatoos or understand the purpose of them. As long as you ask nicely and offer to pay for them to be covered i dont see it as a problem.
But coming from the other point of view...If i did have tatoos and i was a BM and the bride asked me to cover them and pay to get them covered myself i would be offended...But if the bride offered to pay i dont think i would mind.
