So.. i wanted to incorporate my sister into my wedding some how since she passed away. I was thinking the last hour switching into her wedding dress. Hers was very simple and flowy. I would have to get it altered and stuff. What does everyone think?

I think that is such a sweet idea.. did you consider wearing it to the ceremony?

I would think about it. It depends how the alterations came out. The dress was very flowy b.c she was preggos when she got married.

If you dont want to actually wear the dress another option could be to use a small piece as your bo-k wrap or something. You could even do this for the ceremony and then still change into it later.

i like this idea... since you are going to need to get it altered anyway.. make sure they save some of the fabric so you can wrap it and youll have it with you all day, and then change into it later....
Its a great way to remember her!

Re: opinions? dress change
FYI I'm kind of superstitious and won't even try on other girl's engagement rings! I also won't take pictures in my dress because I think its bad luck...Im kinda crazy like that.
Personally, I wouldn't wear it only because she was the last one in it and the fact that she is no longer here, would make me want to keep it that way.
If it were me, maybe I would wear her veil or use the material to create your own veil, or incorporate her wedding jewelry either on, or wrapped around the bo-k or something like that.
But if you're comfortable doing it then go for it! JMO
Edited for spelling!

I like the idea of wrapping a piece of either her veil or dress around something of yours. I think I would be much too emotional to actually wear her dress, but I think the sentiment of it is beautiful.

That's very sweet. You could also stitch a piece of the dress onto your own dress, that way a piece of her is always with you on your special day.

Re: opinions? dress change
if that is something you would like to do, then you should do it. however, if it was me, i don't think i would wear her dress, but i would definately do something special at the wedding., a memorial candle and maybe mention her name during the ceremony and i would do a photo montage of her and other people who were close to us who have passed away
