Opinions needed on Welcome Bags

Opinions needed on Welcome Bags

Is it bad if we don't do welcome bags at the hotel? Honestly we are looking at ways to save money because we are paying for everything ourselves and every little bit helps. But I also don't want to be rude to guests. Is this an OK place to skimp out? What do you think?

We aren't doing welcome bags either. I thing it is a nice extra but I don't think that people actually expect them.

I don't think it is necessary to do them. We are only doing them because I use coupons like they are actually money and it is going to cost very little to make them.

It's totally your call
Some people may notice you didn't and others will have no idea. But no one will think less that you didn't do it.

I'm not doing them. I realized how expensive favors were and then decided to cut that expense. Anyone staying over from out of town is here often and they are familiar with the area. The hotel also has a Starbucks in it and a pretty nice cafe so they won't be lacking for anything. FH's mom is also giving a brunch the next day so I think that's good enough.

I dont think its necessary. We are doing a small one with directions and timeline and a few snacks. I went to an OOT wedding and I didnt get one and I didnt even notice.

This will be a last minute..if I have room in the budget kind of thing. I went to a wedding OOT and didn't receive one and I was ok with it.

Hmm I think it is entirely up to you. FH & I plan to do it just because we think it is a nice gesture and figure we won't spend that much money if we get stuff in bulk at Sam's Club.

Im not doing them. Most of my guests will prob check in right before the reception and dont really need welcome bags. Its up to you. If you have the extra time and money go for it, but if its something your gunna stress about dont do it, they wont be missed.

Hello soulmate!! I plan to do the exact same thing. My best friend is actually hoarding her hauls to see what we can use in my bags that will still be good in a year and a half LOL

I don't think anyone will notice if you don't do them. However, we went to BJs and used coupons, we spent less than 100 bucks on 20 bags (STUFFED with goodies!) and my guests loved them. They're not super expensive.

Thanks ladies! we might end up skipping them. the problem is we will definitely have more then 20 rooms! we probably will have 2 hotels filled with rooms so it's just becoming a hassle/expense but maybe I'll just play it by ear and it can be a last minute thing if we have any money left in July lol.

Sure! 2 water bottles, 2 bags of chips, 2 candy bars, pack of gum, 2 granola bars, aspirin (we got the travel ones that fold apart and used 1 box for 2 bags), directions, shuttle info, do not disturb sign, and numbers for local cabs.
