Opinions needed, please: Cruise vs All-inclusive Resort for honeymoon
Just wondering what you think about a cruise vs. an all-inclusive resort for the honeymoon.
It doesn't matter where or what company, assume they will be in the same area with comparable room accomodations. And assume there is no other option.
Thought please.

If I could choose it would be all inclusive- less hassle then on a cruise- but that my opinion both are nice

to me it depends on the location. for our HM i'm doing a mediterranean cruise because I wanted to see a few different places and I think the cruise is the easiest way to do that. An all inclusive you'd be in one spot the whole time, so it's very different and depends on what you are doing.

I think it is all about personal preference, I love cruises BUT we chose an all inclusive for the HM.

i think an all inclusive resort would be better for your honeymoon..cruises are awesome i just think for your honeymoon it might be more relaxing to be at a resort

I agree. I love cruising, but there is so much always going on. I've never been to an AI, but they sound amazing, and very relaxing, especially if everyone there is a part of a couple.

it all really depends on you. As someone else said it depends on what you want to do... we did a cruise for our honeymoon because we wanted adventure (think ziplining, snorkeling, raindofrest etc....) and we wanted to see as many caribbean islands as possible.... if you are looking for more of a relaxing type of vacation and you dont care about the location (s) then id say go for an all inclusive
side note: you can definately have a nice relaxing vacation on a cruise as well!!!

we loved our cruise, i was willing to do a cruise for our honeymoon but FH wanted an AI resort this time so we could have a nicer room, be more relaxing, alcohol and activities included, and spend more time exploring the island

I'm actually leaning more towards an all-inclusive resort because it sounds relaxing, but we've also heard so many great things about cruises from FH's cousin...we're just so confused!
Thanks for your suggestions and opinions, we'll definitely take them into consideration.

Both FH and I have been on many cruises and love them, but for HM we decided to go the AI route. One: because we never did it before and Two: because we both liked the idea of going somplace that was adults only. I think it is a preference thing. Our AI is not far from cancun so there are plenty of activites both at the resort and for day trips. Good luck with your decision. I'm sure either way you can't go wrong.

Re: Opinions needed, please: Cruise vs All-inclusive Resort for honeymoon
We have so many friends that cruise and love the experience but have racked up some hefty bills from alcohol consumption. I didn't realize that it wasn't a part of the cruise package, I assumed everything was included
We have chosen an AI resort and have read the fine print of the AI package and what it entails. Some resorts offer activities in their packages as well so be sure to find out all the details before booking. The only think we will have to plan for is tip money since our resort allows tipping of its employees. Good luck

I say all inclusive. The cruise will come out to more. Liquor and soda are not included. Soda on a cruise is about $2. I been on both and had a great time on both, but I just didn't like the feeling about being in a cruise for so long and waiting to disembark @ the next destination.

i choose the cruise because fh and i have never been to the caribean. So we thought that was the best way to see a few different country in the same amount of time. and over all it ended up being a little cheaper for us too.

we're going to an AI resort, and i can't wait. after wedding planning, I don't want to be stressed by ANYTHING on our HM.

So funny. Just last period (I am a teacher) my students were asking what we were doing for our honeymoon. I said not sure. So we actually started to debate if a cruise or an all-inclusive resort is the way to go (I teach high school). So funny. As for 16 year olds they say All-inclusive resort!

OK here's the thing-
I said all inclusive only because you're not constantly traveling around and you get to hang out and stuff BUT- if you want to see mult. destinations the a cruise is the better way to go!
