Opinions on Donation Favor

Hi Ladies,
I lurk more than I post, but I am hoping you can help with my favor wording. We are giving a donation to a friends daughter. The friend was killed in April (he was a police officer). Please let me know if you think the wording is too vague. We're trying hard not to make it blaring but still honor him....any feedback would be most helpful. We're planning on doing scrolls at each plate

To Our Family and Friends
Today we pause to remember a friend
who has shaped the character of many in this room,
molded our spirits and touched our hearts.

Our favor serves as
A reminder of the memories shared
A representation of the everlasting impact he has made upon our lives
and
A tribute to his honor and memory
through
a donation in support of his beautiful living legacy
Thank you for sharing our day with us

That sounds good... maybe on the bottom you could just write
'In Loving memory of ....'

If you want to mention his name

That sounds great.
I agree, maybe add his name if you're okay with that.

i would add the name if you feel comfortable with that because if not everyone knows who it is there could be some awkward chatter trying to figure it out. Also, if you put his name, you could also keep the rest of the wording very general or do a poem or something....

its a really generous and beautiful idea, i'm sure your friend will be touched.
