Opinions please

Ok today Fh and i were talking about the father/daughter dance and mother/son dance. Well i do like the songs, buttefly kisses and I loved her first alot...the lyrics are great and go perfect for that day...the thing is that i am not THAT crazy about the way the songs sound, they're not bad just not that great either...So i was just thinking about the celine dion song 'because you loved me' i think its such a beautiful song...the lyrics dont talk about a father daughter relationship though, and maybe for that day one of those 2 songs might be better but not sure. What do you think? here are the lyrics:

I love it...I think it is great to use a different song. I definately don't want to use the typical father/daughter songs either. I think the Celine song is a great choice!

I really love that Dion song. It is great and if it matches the bond and relationship you have with your dad, why not? It is unique. I am actually using and Iirish song and a song I have danced with my dad at my baptism, communion, graduation, sweet 16 and now.... wedding!

I love the Celine Dion song. My moms friend actually used it at her wedding to dance with her father. I think its a perfect song.

Ooo she did thats great...but i do have to admit one thing though, the song sounds sooo much better than the others but when i was listening to the lyrics of the other songs i did get very emotional, i said one line to Fh and couldn't even finish my sentence...I just realized that i do get a nice feeling from the celine dion song but hmmm not the same...ahhh ill still keep this on the list lol

For Daddy, I'm gonna do Kenny Rogers 'Through the Years.' I used to 'perform' it when I was a little girl to him, so ti has more meaning. I wanted to use 'Unforgettable' with Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole, but the last 2 weddings I went to, the girls used it, so I scratched that thought. It was between 'Because You Loved Me' and 'Through The Years.' So I picked 'Through the Years.'

Ooo nice song...yeah Fh is using ' i am your child' his mom loves that song and has been playing it for him for years so its their special song...it was funny bc today we were in the car and i was telling him about the lyrics to 'i loved her first' which i couldnt even get past the first line...then he says oh god i will be emotional too that day with 'iam your child' and once he said it he got sooo emotional too, were both in the car crying just thinking about, we were like great imagine how we'll be that day lol
