opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
my first cousin just booked her wedding the wkend right before mine... I wrote her this long email how inconsiderate and rude that is- I only found this out through her sister..this is after the fact that I had mine booked since April and the entire family knew of the date including her as we spoke about it...I would love to hear everone's thoughts on this? is iit me, or is she just inconsiderate -not just for me but my entire family...now having 2 weddings back to back..besides the fact that the wkend before revolves around my rehersal, bachelortte, etc...unreal!!!!

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
could there be another reason that she booked it for that date?i can't imagine why it would have to be that weekend - but maybe there are curcumstances that are beyond her control?
why not call her and ask to see what is going on and see if you can work out some sort of an arrangement...

That's nuts, but maybe it was the only weekend they could swing. But won't she still be out of town on her honeymoon theoretically, for your wedding? That's just weird. So sorry to hear that!

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
I agree with palebride. I would call her and ask her first before jumping to conclusions. Will she be able to make your wedding, considering it is the week before yours?? Will she be on her HM??
I would be a little annoyed, but talk to her first.

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
no, there are NO circumstance whatsoever..I actually had to find this out from my other cousin (her sister)- who actually backed her up and said well it's the only day they had left in september , and they had a few dates in october but she didn't want october!...talk about not knowing proper etiquette!..I wouldn't do that to any of my girlfriends, let alone family....I am beyond upset about this...and only no receive no response from her on the email I sent- only shoes she KNOWS she is wrong!....thanks for listening to me vent

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
actually.. and I also stated that in the email I sent her-saying she most likely will be on her HM..it was a very tactful email ..and I also said I would like it if she would please reconsider the date as she just now booked it and wouldn't have a problem changing it at this point..

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
Mine too- she wanted to book my date, but since I had already booked the hall 2 years ago, she changed it. This is the same cousin that was upset we couldn't go to her e-party. I say, If I'm too busy w/ my wedding stuff, I can't go to yours. I think its wrong too. There are 52 weeks in a year, why that one? Mom says imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
my sister and my cousin had there weddings back to back and my friend and I have our weddings back to back. Personally, I do not see anything wrong with it. Nothing can take your wedding day away from you. I think it will still be just as special for you and your family...

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
I find that to be incomsiderate and done on purpose! Out of ALL the weekends in the year she had to get married right b4 your wedding. Things that make you go hmmm..........Anyways, I know exaclty what you mean. My FH's sister-in-law wanted to book her baby shower a week after my engagement party at the exact same location! Can you beleive that? What nerve!!! But it didn't fly because she didn't have the money anyways, she is always trying to keep up with me and my FH its ridiculous!!!!!! Don't worry about it though, just do it up the weekend b4!

Re: opinions please!!! imagine?!?!?
I would be beyond MAD....
Did you send the email? If that doesn't get through, I would give her a call.
I mean that just isn't fair & how can you put that on the family also?! 2 weddings (& parties & RD) in a week.
For my first wed. I got mad b/c I was engaged for 6 months & then his cousin initially booked their wedding for 3 weeks ahead of us (which made me beyond mad). I was URRRRRRRRRRRR. But then I don't know if someone said something to them (I didn't feel it was my place, although I made FH & FMIL/FFIL know how upset I was), but they changed it to May. Which kinda still made me mad that it was b4 us, but at least it was a few months ahead of us. I found out later they originally wanted May at this hall but couldn't get the date they wanted so they picked Sept., then it opened.
Yet something needs to be said. A week.....NO WAY. What did your mom/dad (who's side is it) say?
