Opinions please--St Lucia or Hawaii????

Hey ladies, Help! We`re booking our honeymoon this week, and I can`t decide! My fiance is pushing St Lucia cuz it`s all inclusive and pure relaxation, but Hawaii just sounds amazing, but sounds like work--those who have been to either, or both, I would looooveee some feedback cuz I can`t make a decision!!! Thanks!

Definitely Hawaii...It is much more spectacular!!!! It is also cleaner and more developed. Perfect for a honeymoon!!! You can always go to St. Lucia b/c it is closer. Hawaii is far and perfect for a special occasion.

Maybe this will help you make your decision. My future mother-in-law just returned from a cruise to all of the US Virgin & Carribean Islands and said St. Lucia was by far the worst island she had EVER been to. She said it was dirty and wasn't even worth the trip. As far as Hawaii, I know tons of people who have gone there and not ONE person has ever complained. The only negative thing I've heard about Hawaii is that everything is very expensive, but hey, you only get married once. I'm going to Hawaii for mine! ;-) Good luck with your planning!

HAWAII!!

The absolute best thing we ever did! Our honeymoon was spectacular and there was hardly any work to it at all -- worth every penny!!

HAWAII!!

I agree with the rest HAWAII!! I have been there a few times and every place I have been was just spectacular!!! The Japanese recession hit Hawaii tourism bad in the late 90s and it is very reasonable for NY..I would go while you had the chance...

Same Opinion...

I also visited there on a cruise and felt that it was very dirty. Hawaii was much cleaner.

St Lucia.......

I wanted to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but we didnt have the time or the money, so we went to Sandals, St. Lucia-Golf and Spa. Inside the resort, its gorgeous. However, there are parts of the island that are beautiful. I have been on cruises before, and have to say that, they dock the ship by the bad parts of most of the islands., St Lucia being one of them. But dont think that the whole island is dirty, because its NOT!!! One day on an island is not enough to judge the whole island. If you have the $$ I would go to Hawaii. But if you dont, then I suggest doing an All-inclusive, like Sandals. WE had such as AWESOME honeymoon. Good Luck!!!!
