oppinion on my center piece

Hi ladies I thought you might all be able to help. I am doing my own cp (they are in my album I couldn't get them on the page:) ) Any way I wanted to know what you liked better the cp with flowers in the base or with out. The flower colors will be in fall colors to match the berries the flowers I used were just for practice. I also want to know if you guys think the tree is to glossy I painted it........Thanks for any advice you have

I personally do not like those flowers, then again I do not really know what colors/ theme you have for your wedding. Or maybe place flower petals around the pot/spread around the table? with only one or two flowers in the pot.

I think it looks nicer without the flowers in the base. They're pretty.

First, great job. I envy DIY'ers. Second, In my opinion I like the idea of flowers at the bottom but don't think the colors you chose go with the branches and berries. The flowers are very bright and vibrant and the top in subdued and natural. If you want flowers - you can go to a florist for ideas.. although you plan to do it yourself. Good Luck!

Hi thank you all for your advice the colors in the flowers are def not going to be bright like that they will be fall colors (i was just practicing and the bright colors are what i got at the grocery store) i am having a fall country feeling wedding not to formal ..................i do like the idea some one posted to do the moss and maybe just like one or 2 flowers maybe i will do just the moss with some mum s spread around the base on the table :)

i dont like those flowers i think you should do browns n deep reds the CP is a bit fallish.... so i would stick to fall colors but without the flowers it still looks nice,,,

without the flowers! but i like the moss around the pot.. also.... what about just rose petals sprinkled on the table.. it will give it a softer look

I like it without the flowers. Maybe putting fall colored rose petals around the base of the CP might be nice. Great job on the CP.

I'm not liking the paint you used for the branch - it looks off.
What about a muted bronze or deep gold to give the branches a bit more glow and sparkle and let the candles enhance that glow ?
Moss on the bottom is a nice finishing touch. I'd add a couple of roses in dark orange and deep red/burgundy tones - open up the roses really wide so that you can see the centers - it makes for a very different look.
Or nestle some acorns in the moss for a truly fall look.
I'd add some more votives around the base, and scatter some rose petals to give it the finished look.

Oooh i love DIY. .

I like the flowers b/c I like color and of course i'm imagining the flowers in fall colors. . .

But I would wire some flowers into the branches as well b/c to me all the exposed branches are a bit bare and stark in a cold way that i'm not lovin. . .

Either way -- great start!!!! Keep up the good work.

Also the brown branch color i'm not feeling it -- it needs something mixed into to give it some depth of life. . something with a shimmer or sparkle i'm a huge gold fan.

Or once i coated manzanite branches in rock crystals like u get at Michaels. . that came out nice.

IMO defintaly without the flowers. They over power the piece and draw you away from the rest of it. Although pretty, they are just too much in this set up.
