I am a Yankee and Giants fan..but FH is a Mets and Jets fan.

Anyone else entering marriage on different sides of the sports complex?

Yes!! I'm a Mets fan and he's a Yankee fan...makes for interesting subway series, but that was the first thing I EVER asked him...then he said Yankee fan and I said uh-oh this will never work!

nope! in fact the fist question I asked FH was are you an islanders/jets fan? Had he said no, I would have looked elsewhere. No joke. Sports are a huge part of my life & i am so passionate about my teams. I would spend half our relationship arging if he liked other teams. No thanks! lol

I'm the sports fan in the relationship. Fh doesn't really care. He roots for the same teams I do though because he knows better lol.

I'm a Rangers fan. LOVE HOCKEY. He likes the Islanders but he's one of those 'I support any NY team' but he's not really into sports at all. Unless he's playing it.

Our kids will be raised Rangers fans.

We're both huge Mets fans, even our wedding colors are blue and orange. But he loves the stinky Islanders and I love my Rangers. He's a Giants fan, I'm a Jets fan.

Our colors are also blue and orange. Besides being a huge Met fan(I have the logo tattooed on my ankle) those are my favorite colors. Are you having any Mets touches at your reception?

We're having our table numbers actually be our favorite players. Our table is Shea Stadium, though.

I'm wearing a Mets garter, and we're seriously considering a Mets themed wedding cake, but nothing gaudy. Just 2 tiers of square with an orange and blue stripe, but the top tier being a baseball with the logo on it.

And, if it's in the budget, I'd like Mr. Met to appear at the reception. But he's $500 for just an hour!

I'm a huuuuuge Yankee fan. I asked FH on our first date who his favorite team was. Luckily he's a Yankee fan also! I really don't see how we could have gotten past that hurdle if he wasn't lol

I love the table number idea. I'm going to tickets as escort cards so my table numbers will be section numbers.

I wanted Mr. Met also but I can't bring myself to pay that much.

Did you see the escort cards on this site? There's another bride who reviewed her wedding, and showed the escort cards as tickets. That's an awesome idea! But the printer she used I can't find anywhere. Tried googling a bunch of different variations. I have a Graphic Designer friend who I'll ask to see if he can make me a mock-up. But if it doesn't work out, I'm ok with it.

FH wants to make sure we get Mr. Met. I love him too (even threaten to make out with him whenever we see him at CitiField), but if we can't afford it, I'm not going to kill myself to get him.

Baseball and football are the only two sports either of us care about, and we're both Mets/Giants fans. The only difference is that I'm a HUGEEEEEEEE baseball fan and on Sundays in the fall, I cease to exist to FH.

Also, I would have loved a Mets-themed wedding, but he definitely wouldn't have wanted to do that. I may wear a Mets garter, just for myself.

FH wanted a Giants themed wedding, but I put the kibosh on that really quick. I love my Jets. I know they suck, but I wasn't having a Giants wedding. Hell to the no!

I did! I really love it. And everyone who knows me will think it's perfect. That's exactly what I'm doing. I know a few graphic designers and I'm having one make me a template.
Yeah I can understand that. One of Fh groomsmen said he wanted to make that our wedding present. But if he doesn't like you said I'm not gonna kill myself to get him.

My FH is actually convinced that I am going to get Mr. Met to come to our wedding because I told him that I want to surprise him with something but it's not happening
