my parents are italian catholics - if they knew i was having sex they wouldnt let FH in my house - yes i am an adult but premarital sex is against my religion and frowned upon in my culture. That is why i choose to keep my private life private from my parents.
Even after I am married I don't see the need to talk about my sex life with my parents.

im sorry if you feel that way, everyone is entitled to their opinions. - the OP WAS asking for adivce, and I was giving my opinion - it had nothing to do with you - i apologize if you took it that way...
as your culture isnt into premartial sex, im sure it isnt into lying to your parents either.

I OWN a house with FH and don't live in it bc grandma would have a cow - so I do understand your situation - but im not going to sit there when my mom asks me if im on BC and lie to her- I think thats just as bad, but again thats my opinion.

thank you for the apology i appreciate it - i was offended by the comment that i am not acting as an adult bc i am not revealing my sex life to my parents.
and yes you are right, i shouldnt be lying to my parents - however, i take it as the lesser of two evils. I choose to 'protect them' in a way - instead of the other option, which would be to destroy my relationship with them.
