I ordered my dress 2 months ago and saw a headpiece that matched and I really liked it. I did look elsewhere in several other places but my thoughts kept drifting back to the first headpiece so I decided to order it this past weekend. I told them that I wanted some special beading added to it to match it even better to the dress. This was a personal choice of what I wanted to customize and am excited over it. Since it is a headpiece that will stay on all day, I am glad I am adding the touches that will pull the look together. The woman at the shop cracked me up - I'm so glad I was in good spirits because I was able to rise above it but she said 'oh my goodness, you brides and this special beading!' and other grumblings - as if I wasn't paying extra for it, as if she wasn't in the business of dealing with brides as her chosen line of work. Planning a wedding has definitely been thickening my skin - so many things are bothering me less than they would have. I'm 6 months away so I still have my share of ups and downs to look forward to...
Thanks, Elizabeth! You're right. We do need to call these people. I just hate doing it. Finally, something for HIM to do! He has gotten off way to easy in this planning process.
