Ordering BM dresses w/out seeing them?

I went to Burton's tonight w/ my MOH to see her wedding gown and try on the BM dress I'll wear for her wedding.

While I was there I asked if they carried the Jim Hjelm dress I plan on having for my BM's. They don't have it, but can order it for $35 less than the other stores I've seen it in. Do you think its a good idea to order w/out seeing it there?

I don't know why but it makes me a little nervous...

Hmmm. I wouldn't. If you'd tried it on or seen it at another store, maybe.

Have you tried it on at another store? If they show you a picture and guarantee the style number, I wouldn't think it is a bad idea. Check the BBB first for any complaints. If they are okay, I would go for it.

Ooooh, I would NOT do that. Call around to see where you can see the dress in person and then order it from wherever is cheapest - that place or somewhere else. But think of how many times you've seen something you thought you'd love, only to put it on and HATE it. Now multiply that by the number of BMs you have... I'd definitely check it out in person.

What's the style number? My girls are wearing a Jim Hjelm and I got them from RK Bridal - they have a big selection. I'm going there on Friday and can check to see if they have it for you.

go to another store and try it on there. Thats what I did. I'm also nervous, because no store carries my dress in the color I want. I'm getting in light blue with a black middle.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I realize I worded my question wrong. My MOH tried it on at Centereach Bridal and it looked great, so that part's out of the way. I've seen it at several stores for $210. Burton's doesn't carry it but can order it...for only $175. Should I go for it?

oh, ok. Yes, go for it. Its the same dress regardless of where you order it.
