Well my BM are not realy OT but they are in Queens and we are allll the way out in Suffolk .....I just feel becasue they are sooooo far, they realy have not taken as much interes in helping me out with things like my dress fitting ect.....DOes any one else feel that way with ther girls??

Yes, I have three in Jersey, one here on LI and one in Queens. There are two of them that are younger, so I don't expect much from them, but my BM's that are in Jersey.. better start being more interested..

Yes I am in the same situation. I am from LI, but I live in CT.
My MOH is in CT with me and we are getting married one month apart...we do everything together...
BUT, one bridesmaid is in Washginton DC in LAw school...hasnt taken much of a role in anything, isnt coming to my shower or my bachelorette party...
Another bridesmaid is in Westchester and although she is more involved than the DC BM, she too has not taken an active role but will be present at all important times...Shower/BAch party...
I know everyone is busy and has their own lives...As much as it makes me sad sometimes, I realize or I make myself realize that this is the day I have been dreaming about since I was a little girl... BUT for my friends it is not...This is MY special day...and no one except my mother is going to be looking forward to every aspect of it LIke I do!

All of my BMs are OOT except my 15 year old cousin. They've taken as much interest as possible from far away (and not being able to drive). I knew they couldn't be there for everything when I asked them though!

well I just sent them all an email to see if they wanted to come out this weekend to help me with the favors nad menues and stuff...I guess I will see what they say

I have one bm in California and one in Georgia. The one in Georgia made the effort to come to my shower. But, the one in California hasn't done anything.....her parents live in CT (where my bachelorette party at Mohegan Sun was located), so I was secretely hoping that she would have come to my bachelorette party.
Considering she lives all the way in CA, I can't really blame her for not coming to any of the 'events' thus far, but I am kind of hurt that she hasn't called or emailed to ask how the planning is going. (she has asked, but only if I initiate the communication).
People are weird.

All of my girls are OOT right now, one lives on LI, but is in school in SC.....it's a bummer, but maybe that's why FI thinks i'm nuts...'cause it is just me planning stuff all the time...maybe if i had a human co-conspirator, he'd be more understanding.

My MOH is on LI, but my BM's are in Arizona and Virginia. The one in AZ has been great with answering emails etc. She was the first to try on dresses I picked, (and she sent digital pics so I could see) and the first to get measured. I had to go to VA to get that BM to try on dresses and getting her measured was a nightmare (she is FG's mom, so that was another story). My MOH/sister falls somewhere in between. Getting her to try on dresses was a nightmare, for measurements I made an appointment and told her when and where to show up and she did. She has also already asked for my shower invite list, although I suspect it was because AZ BM told her to. I think (HOPE) it is b/c AZ BM wants to try and make it to NY with cheap airfare on Southwest.
I asked the two OOT girls to be a part of my day knowing full well they would not be everyday participants in the wedding planning/preperations. So while I wish they were closer and could do more, I understand.
