I am a newbie, although I have been checking out other people's posts for awhile.
I am planning my wedding from out-of-state. It is next September. So far I have my photographer, videographer and DJ.
What else should I be doing now? Sometimes I feel so out of the loop!
Any recommendations for hair, makeup, flowers, cakes?
I will be getting ready in Suffolk in the East Islip area and the reception is in Massapequa at the Riviera.

I grew up there, went to college in MA, met my fiancee and he moved down to NY while I was in law school and now we are back up here....

I'm planning from FL - FH and I both lived in Long Island our whole lives and just moved to FL this year!!! I have our hall, Church, and band booked. I've also got my dress and the bridesmaids' dresses figured out. Now I'm working on the photographer and I guess after that the florist... I've had a pretty easy time with the planning so far - b/c I really already know what I want - it's just the photographer and florist that are kinda hard to do from out of state. Luckily we'll be in NY in two weeks and we'll meet with some photographers.

I actually grew up on LI (New Hyde Park) then went to college in western MA (Williams College). I moved out to the Boston area after I graduated, which is where I met my fiance
I'm in grad school here now and will be for the next year or so. Then, who knows!
