I used Gable boxes they were 9x9x6. If you scroll down you can see them (I got the idea from 'Mongietobe'). I am going to use ribbon with fall color leaves and pumpkins (from Micheal's).

Re: out of town bags... size?

I ordered these totes from cheaptotes and they are the perfect size. They hold 2 bottles of water, bag of chips, candy, granola bar, room for a note, and i am still adding my chocolate covered oreos. Perfect size.
And they ship in 2 days...

Mine were 10'L x 8'W x 4-1/4'D plain white paper bags. How many do you need? I think I have about 10 left over.

Wow.. what did they look like were they the reusable ones? Because I am looking for ones that are reusable. I don't want to just throw them away.

The ones I used were reusable, and were $.89

I bought plain white paper bags with handles from Michaels (10'L x 8'W x 4-1/4'D). They were 13 bags for $5 and I had a 40% coupon.

The ones I got were just plain paper gift bags..not the resuable cloth kind.
