Outdoor ceremony only locations

I do not live in New York, and need help fast! We are having our reception catered in our backyard in Mt. Sinai, but I`d like to do the ceremony somewhere other than the house, and possibly just for the immediate family. Anybody have any suggestions of places I could call for a small, outdoor ceremony, but no cocktail hour or reception? Thanks in advance!

Check some local parks. The mill pond in Setauket, near the Neighborhood house or around the pond is pretty. Also the duck pond near the grist mill in Old Stony Brook (even right on the water in Stony Brook Harbor) is nice. They have a big statue of Neptune I think from an old ship there. But be wary of the time of year because of mosquitos. Perhaps calling the chamber of commerce or vistors center might help in the Mt. Sinai area.

Both places Stef28 mentioned are beautiful. You could also try Cedar Street Beach which is a town beach in Mt. Sinai (or Miller Place - I can't remember which). Good luck!
