we will both be 31. FH will turn 32 two months after the wedding.

You cannot put an age on things in life, would you rather had married at 25 and been divorced already and not have married your 'soul mate' or the 'right one'...of course not. You are a perfect age, you still have time to enjoy your life, be happy, have children etc.

I'll be 38, FH will be 42. First marraige for both of us.

I'll be 32 and he'll be 36 when we get married. First marriage for both of us. Sometimes it gets to me, like when I get all paranoid that I'll look old in my pictures But, its not really a big deal for me because all my friend are pretty much doing the marriage thing now, in their late 20s and early to mid 30s. I guess we all wanted to sow our wild oats before taking the plunge!!!

I was 31 and DH was 35 when we wed. My brother was over 30 as well.

but i feel wiser with my age - so its all good

I am 31 and FH is 32. I am glad I waited a little while to get married. A lot of my friedns that got married at 23-25 feel like they missed out on opportunities and also took on a lot of responsibility at a young age. FH and I were able to afford a ahouse before we were married and are stable in our jobs etc.
I don't think there is anything wrong at finding the right person at any age!

Don't be depressed, I was in the same situation. We got engaged in '05. I turned 36 in June and we're getting married in 22 days. WOO HOO!!!!!

I'll be 38 when I get married (8/09), FH wil be 43 (first marriage for both).
I don't regret it for a second. I spent most of my 20s and early 30s paying off student loan and credit card debt. We're going into this marriage completely DEBT FREE (except for the essentials). I'm financially stable. We've traveled all over the world and basically have just done what we've wanted to do. So now we're READY to settle down and get married.
The other thing that I like about being an 'older' bride...I have no problem saying 'no' to people when it comes to my wedding. My poor sister was 23 when she got married, and everybody steamrolled over her about what was proper and what wasn't for her wedding. At my age, since I'm paying, I don't have to worry about insulting anybody.
So don't be depressed at being over 30. I'd NEVER go back to my 20s!

We just got married last month. We were engaged almost 2 years and dated almost 3 before that. So I was about 51 when we met and now 56 just getting married for first time and he's 61 and his first too!. So you have a head start on that! Now I would have liked to have met him sooner but you just have to go along your path the way it twists and turns. So we had fun with the wedding like young kids and as he says ' the honeymoon continues'. So forget about age and just enjoy all your time together.

Okay....I understand....I will be walking down the isle for the first time a week from today...at age 45.
It does not matter when you get married just that you found the love of your life.

Well we have two things in common hall twins and over 30 brides. Dont worry about it. Your happy and thats all that counts. I will be 33 this Thursday but, 34 when we get married he will be 30. It took me along time to get here and I am glad it is with the right guy!!! My big thing is I have a 12 yr old son and by the time I have another one will be going to college and the other kindergarten,
