I like the idea and while I agree that themes can be over done I don't think that the number of themes is the issue here as they all seem to gel pretty well to me. Halloween is in fall and, if I'm not mistaken, Pagen. The place cards are cute and fine for a Halloween wedding, it may freak some people out but, honestly, you can't make everyone happy. maybe change the color to white instead of gray? Lighten them up a little- flowers for some is a good idea too.
Honestly, some people are so freaked out by the thought of death they won't even talk about it or plan for it with a Will or other healtcare forms- they think that invites death so don't worry if some say it's creepy, everyone has their own opinions of the subject. Do what you want and if they know and love you they'll get it. If someone has a death them you can pull them aside and tell them about the place cards.
