Overwhelmed with Finding a Venue

I'd look at Chateau La Mer too, if you haven't already - I've been there for other weddings twice and the food is ridiculously good and plentiful, with really reasonable pricing. We opted not to use them for our wedding because the look of the place wasn't really our style, but it is beautiful and right on the water!

Overwhelmed with Finding a Venue

I too live in Western Nassau and wanted Nassau County only for my 125 guest list. We saw 14 venues!!! Ultimately we picked The Coral House and had to bump up our guest list to 150 because we fell in love with the larger ballroom.

Here is my opinion with some ballpark quotes we were given for April/May 2016 Friday nights ....

Inn at NHP - completely overpriced wanted 175 pp base pricing with barely anything included! Also need to guarantee high number of guests
Floral Terrace didn't even go see because needed a high guarantee
The Sand Castle didn't even go see, 150-175 guest minimum, same with BridgeView Yacht Club
Allegria Hotel you won't get under $150 pp even for a Sunday or a Thursday
Jericho Terrace - TOTALLY affordable ... the man told us $110 was with 'NYPD discount' but I'm not so sure about that. We were impressed with their food but they do 3-4 weddings, sweet 16 at a time. Not our cup of tea.
Westbury Manor - totally affordable and definitely in your price range but was too outdated for my liking.
Carlyle on The Green - wanted $150 and up for Friday night with 150 minimum guarantee. Overpriced for what they offer IMO.

I would definitely recommend checking out the Village Club At Lake Success , we were quotes $125 for Friday night in May 2016 and only had to guarantee 120 people. This was a very basic package though and I did not like the banquet manager's attitude however it is a BEAUTIFUL brand new space and is powered by the super trendy and delicious Phillip Stone Caterers.

Also, Crescent Beach Club in Bayville was around $140 for May and about $15 pp cheaper in April, also if you pick the week during the year where they are replenishing their palm trees it is significantly cheaper as well. I think the guarantee was 130 people.

If you have any other questions definitely feel free to ask me, I see a lot of good suggestions here but the problem with most of these halls that we also ran into is that they have insanely high guest minimums unless you want to get married on a Thursday night (which wasn't an option for us. We saw 14 venues for ourselves and have also been to many others as guests.

Happy planning!
