PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Hi Sonicstef,I normally don't ask these questions but couldn't help myself. I'm in the 'Invitation' phase for my wedding and LOVE your rehearsal invites. Do you mind if I ask you where you got them and how much they were???? THANKS!!!!!
I started a new post in case you didn'r re-visst the other one.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Sorry I missed the other one.I sort of 'made' them myself but I used premade envelopments from Kates Paperie so it was very, very easy.
Since I didn't have too much time to shop around, they were on the expensive side - something like $4.50 each when you add up the black envelopment, white backing paper and the black string tie envelope.
But you can find them for a lot cheaper online. Not sure but you could probably do it for about half that - even less if you are willing to sacrifice the expensive string tie envelope.
I used a laser printer to print out the text.
Does that help?

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
I can tell you because Stef designed them for me and then used them for her own RD invites after the CD ones could not be used.Stef designed them herself and I got the supplies at Kate's Paper in NYC. I needed to get the white backround paper and then the envelopments and envelopes plus seals (not necessary). It costs me almost $90 for 20 sets but only .37 cents to mail each one. Stef's cost more to mail because of her envelope. It had the tie string. I used spray adhesive to put the white paper to the envelopment. I printed the invites on my high-end photo printer.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Damn!!
I was hoping you ladies would tell me you bought them somewhere. I am not 'Crafty' so this woudn't help me. I wouldn't even begin to know how to print them.
I don't think that price is expensive at all since I only need like 20. Hopefully, maybe I will run into something similar online. If anyone knows of any sites that would be great.
Thanks Stef and Michele for the info!!!!!

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Printing them is super, super easy if you have a good printer. A low-end inkjet will not make them look very nice. Or do you mean design them? I am sure Stef would send you the file. All you would need to do is change the information. The paper just feeds thru the printer one at a time.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Curly - do you have a laser printer at work or home. It could not be easier to print out - just set it up in MS Word and print! Voila!! Im telling you - it takes practically NO time.Marcella: I think the wax came from www.hotstix.com but I can't remember now. Just search for colored hot glue online.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Sonicstef - How do you set it up in Word? I'm not that saavy with it. How do you make sure you get the right size & everything. And also, did you have to cut the paper down to size? Or did you use a specially sized paper?

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
I bought the paper at Kate's that is already cut to size to fit inside the envelopment. When you are in MS Word. Click on File, Page Setup and change the paper size to Custom and then type in 9 inches high by 4 inche wide (assuming you are using the same kind). Then you can just type what you want in the fonts that you want, add clipart, whatever. I printed them using the manual feed on my printer but that is probably overkill.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
Stef,I believe I have a laser one. I have a Hewellet Packard 876xx something. If you would be kind enough to email me the doc. that would be GREAT!! (My email is [email protected]). Maybe I'll take a crack at it since I like them SOOO much!
P.S. It's not just the invite wording it's the whole stationary package I like. Did you get all of it at Kates??? THANKS!!! Do you think I could get it on LI since it would be really difficult to get to the city......

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
No clue if you could get it in Long Island - sorry.I didn't do it in MS Word - I did it in another program because that what was easier for me. Plus, you don't have the same fonts installed on your pc so it wouldn't help much anyway. I can send you that .jpg file if you want but you couldn't edit it.
If you want, tell me what you want on the paper and I will do it for you and send it to you.

Curly: If you like my font then you are going to have to download it from the web and install it.I used a font called 'couchlover' which you can download from here:
http://scils.rutgers.edu/~marisag/font/
Then see my post above on how to set up the page in MS Word and type it all out.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
I live on LI and never see the paper we can get in NYC. Some websites sell the stuffhttp://www.remoteassistance.com/index.htm
But Kate's is great.
The colored 'wax' is really hot glue. You need to get one of those cheap $1.99 glue guns since you cannot use it after you put the colors into it.
Here is the site:
http://www.artkat.com/Hot%20Melt%20Glue/Hot%20Stix%20Colors.htm
You will also need to use a BRASS seal, not the rubber ones. Those you can find online as well. I also got the 'mat' from the glue company. I was able to pre-make my seals on the mat then store them in a zipploc bag. It was much easier than doing it on the good envelopes, especially when you first start out. Then just adhere them with some additional colored hot glue.

Re: PAGING SONICSTEF.....(Rehearsal invites)
I was able to make RD invites from supplies at Pearls in East Meadow...there isn't a HUGE selection, but they do have nice paper...they came out to be under $2 each...(and the strip of paper was vellum...not the printer paper I used to practice with in the photo)
