I am thinking of painting my metal bed. But is there any prep work I need to do before hand? Hs anyone done this before? And do I stick with a latex paint? Thanks in advance!
I think there is special primer and paints for metal. Not 100% sure but you might want to go to a hardware store and ask what they suggest.
I can tell you first hand because we just did my daughters bunkbed from Bright Red to White. We lightly sanded it with a fine sandpaper (Lowes said you didn't have to but we thought it would seal better) then we used I believe it was from Rustoluem or the brand killts (s?) primer and then sprayed it with Rustoluem. It was a pain but it came out beautiful. Good Luck!!
