I am having a mini-freak out about how close the wedding is getting. 148 days away... which is a little less than 5 months away... AGHHH. I'm so ahead of the game with plans so I'm not worried about that but... I need to get my a$$ into shape already. A year ago, I figured I would start getting super healthy 10 months before... then in 9th months... then in January... then at the end of January with is 6 months... now I'm sitting on the couch freaking out because I never started getting healthy and I'm not going to be able to work out until late April/early May because of my recent hip surgery. I have been glued to the couch for the past 3 weeks with nothing to do but eat... I'm in no way heavy and I'm sure my wedding dress will look fine on me the way I look now... but if I can't use my wedding as an excuse to get in amazing kick @$$ shape, when I'm I going to do it. Yell at me and tell me to put down the chocolate and lift weights with my upper body please. Oh and remind me that I have to go back to teaching on Monday and still have a ton of stuff to grade so I have no business being on liweddings right now. Thanks for this swift kick in the @ss!!

I know exactly what you are going through! Except for the fact that I am fat and probably will look like a cow in my dress! This horrible fact still has not motivated me to lose the almost 30LBS I so desperatly need to lose!

First, im sure you look great. but if you really feel like you need to lose weight then you should try weight watchers.. I do it online, but I cook all my own meals and bring the leftovers for lucnh so its easy for me to stay on my points.. i lost weight and now maintaning the weight I want for the wedding.. let me know if you need anything

Um... I just want to have my cake and eat it too.... I don't need to lose more than 5-7 pounds and tone up... A few years ago after college, I had to work off like 15 pounds. I got here and have been at this weight for like 2 years with out trying anymore. Its comfortable but seriously, its not a lot of weight that i need to lose so I think I just need to get myself to work out and just cut out the extra candy I eat. Such minimal changes but I'm so non-committal. I feel so ready to commit to the exercise right now... but I can't until I can walk again. Basically, I'm lazy.

I only wish I could sympathize. But alas, my wedding is 24 days away, and I could still stand to lose a hundred pounds.
Okay, maybe not a hundred, but 80?
I started dieting in May, and basically skipped October through December. As of this morning, I have lost 70 lbs, and I am kicking myself in the face for taking those three months off. I am convinced I could have lost about 100 in total if I didn't strap on the feedbag for three months.
I am very happy to have lost 70 lbs. However, it was not enough, and I should have really dedicated myself to it. But I have to remember- I could have been getting married 70 lbs heavier, and THAT, my friends, would have been an unparalleled disaster. Remember Jabba and Princess Leia? I would have been the Jabba.
