Paper for programs

For all of you who have made your own programs, where did you get your paper? What stock and size paper did you use for the cover and the insides?

I didnt make my programs yet, but I like to share this great store on Route 110.
It's called :
PICK QUICK - THE PAPER SUPERSTORE

They have EVERY kind of paper imaginable. From plain, to parchment, to embossed, you get the idea. I bought paoer here to make programs for my girlfriend once, everyone LOVED them.
They also have envelopes, and sets. And programs to make invitations. Definitley worth a look.
If you go, let me know how it turns out.
But make sure you call for their store hours. they close early, like 6 pm or something.

I made my own programs and I got the paper from www.paperdirect.com They have a good selection and reasonable prices and also delivered quickly!....I also went to the Pick Quick paper store, and while they have a nice selection, I really didnt see many heavy paper programs. I used 38lb bond for the program covers.

b/c of lack of time, I used colored copy paper from Staples (cost effective though) and vellum...

Mind you this was way before I joined LIW, so I didnt know how creative we can get, but the paper's really pretty: vellum embossed cornflower blue/white on top of parchment.

Lizlen, here's a kinda random question, but do you remember seeing the 'Envelpment' line of papers, and invitation supplies? I recently ordered some from a website called remoteassistance.com, but I wasn't pleased with their customer service.

I used an 80# cover stock for the program covers and 35# text weight for the inside pages. Both in ivory.

Do you know if quick pick is open on saturdays?

It is open on Saturdays. In the summer only till 2pm though. i think in fall/winter they open till about 5pm.
Call them first to make sure.

Thanks. Lizlen is there someone there who can help you pick it out and give ideas? I can't imagine going into a huge store and getting overwhelmed.

Not really, but everytime I went there was this very nice lady there. She did help me as much as she could. But she was always manning the register as well. I went in the summer, duing their 'slow' time when they don't have a lot of staff.
But she was really sweet, showed me where everything was and shared ideas with me too.
i did not feel overwhelmed at all

dc bride, it's like across from Republic airport, going towards the Southern State, like right by the Thomasville, and Deskco. I think there is also a Starbucks over there.
Do you know where I'm talking about?
