Paper presention F*IN ROCKS!!!! alot accomplished with invites

I always rave about them but today I will do so more than ever. I was walking around the store looking at the stardream cardstock and looking for the colors i needed. This lady who works there asked if i needed help, i showed her my sample invitation and told her i needed to duplicate that, but i had wanted the opposite colors for the invite and brought in a pic of that and couldn't find one of the colors. But she stayed with me and did alot of color combos with me to see what i like best. I need 2 colored cardstocks bc the invite is 3 layers and the printing company FMIL called today is already doing the main part with the verse on the white linen cardstock so i just needed it for the other 2. She asked if i needed the paper cut, and i said yes and if they do it that would be great, i asked how much it costs and for everything i cut, and it was alot it was only $6. So right after i picked out the 2 colors i wanted she figured out how much paper i needed. Can i say thank god for her bc i would've spent more money bc im an idiot and was going to buy more cardstock lol the thing is that with stardream cardstock theres 25 to a pack so since i need 175 invites, i was thinking i need 8 packs and she said no 4, and i was confused until she pointed out the obvious and said that the invite is smaller than the whole thing so its cut in half lol so i get 2 out of each sheet. So i bought 4 packs of the bronze cardstock and 4 packs of the opal and she also gave me a discount for buying that many, actually i bought 6 bronze bc i also needed it for the rsvp and reception cards and 4 can be made from each sheet. Then she called the guy over and told him how many to cut and how. I asked if it would be done today and they said yeah, i thought i was going to wait a while but the guy came out soon after with ALL my cardstock cut perfectly. So my cardstock is all cut and ready to get started on

I also bought the rsvp envelopes there and same thing, got a great price. Bought permanent double-sided tape so right now i will mount the opal cardstock on top of the bronze one. Then on wednesday when i receive the white linen one with the verse on it i will just mount that on top of the opal. I still have to go tomorrow to the wholesale place that sells the rhinestone buckles but that can wait until the end anyways. Then go buy the boxes for it and thats it. Also printing company is doing the wording for the rsvp and reception card on the white linen paper and i will also mount that on top of the smaller cut bronze cardstock

So should only take a few days

ETA: about 10 packs of stardream cardstock plus them cutting it cost under $200 and a decent amount below 200. And 200 RSVP envelopes were $39. So in the end i will actually save alot of money doing them myself lol

I had went there for e-party to buy cardstock for my menu's and i wish i knew then that they cut the paper for you lol, instead i had bought a paper cutter and cut one at a time the fact that they cut the paper for you helps out SOOO much, thats alot of time it saves me.

THank you ladies and YES it does restore my faith in some people. I told the guy who cut my paper that i had to do this now because the lady i hired basically said she needed 2 months to do these invites, and he couldn't even believe it. Plus its actually going to save me money now

it's true, i probably will get satisfaction from doing it myself. I definitely wasn't planning on doing this but having a printing company print the wording for me and having someone cut it helps ALOT because thats alot of time saved for me, otherwise i would be going crazy

Where are you getting the boxes from? I found a few sites that sell beautiful thai silk boxes.
