Hi! Has anyone used Paradise Bridal in Patchogue? If so how are they with customer service and alterations? TIA

Re: Paradise Bridal
I did not use them, only because of the horror stories i have heard along the way! BUT, it is a good place to look, they have a great selection. I was there two times, and each time I met angry brides upset because her dress was not in/done. JMO... Good luck looking!

Re: Paradise Bridal
I was just there with my SIL to look at dresses for her wedding in 06. I thought the sales people were a bit pushy. PLENTY of dresses to try on though. I heard the horror stories too, but I expressed them to my MIL and SIL
Every place has there good and bad reviews, just trust your gut

Re: Paradise Bridal
We ordered our dresses there for my cousins wedding....and the bridemaids dresses were all altered horribly.
We my sister went looking for gowns they kept telling her to only look in the 1st room, because the other rooms the gowns are above 1000.00....When I asked why they keep saying that...they told me that she looks like she is on a budget (she sounded like a snob when she said this)....I told the woman that $$ is no object...and that she just lost a possible sale for her ignorance....as we were walking out she chased us to the door...you should have seen her face when she saw my mother open the door to her top of the line Mercedes.

I ordered my dress from them. Please FM with the horror stories. My dress did not come in yet but when it does should I take it and get altered somewhere else? I don't want one of those stories to be me.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I got my gown there. I haven't had any problems with them, only that some woman told me I had to take my dress home if I wanted to see it (she was wrong), but I cleared that up and they let me see it and leave it there. My dress also came in 3 months earlier than it was supposed to come so that was nice. I worked with Donna to pick out my gown and she was great. There was another woman there who was horrible bc I saw her working with another bride and she wasn't helpful at all. So if you go request Donna.

I just ordered my dress from them, haven't heard any of the horror stories. Please FM them to me. Donna was great, she was nice and very helpful!!! Maybe it depends on who you get, but I haven't had any problems so far.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I ordered my dress there and so far so good. The woman I have been working with is so sweet. A friend of mine got hers there last summer and she had a very good experience. We had some issues with the alterations of the BM dresses for her wedding but the wedding gowns and BM dresses are altered by different people.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I haven't heard anything really positive about them. I would recommend Bridal Suite in Centereach, if you are looking that far east on LI.

I went there to try on dresses and had a great experience. The lady who helped me was so sweet and acommodating. I think a lot of times Paradise Bridal and the Bridal Suite in Patchogue get mixed up because they are two doors down from each other. Everyplace has both good and bad reviews, everyone's experience is very personal. I did not order a dress yet, but I am going back there a second time with my mom and moh.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I ordered my gown and BM's dresses from there. So far, the only bad thing I have to say is it took over a year for my gown to come in...but other than that, everyone there is pretty nice. Wanda, Donna,Colleen and Josephine N are the most helpful and knowledgable IMO....

They altered the brides dress very nice...but out of the 7 BM's not one of us had a dress that fit properly.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I ordered my dress from there and didn't have any problems. I ordered my dress in April for a Sept wedding and it came in in mid August. I wasn't crazy about the seamstress that did the alterations because she told me something couldn't be done that could have been. My only suggestion would be to be very strong about your alterations and what you want done. I would also take someone that is familiar with sewing. The only thing I wouldn't get from there is a head piece and veil and that is only because they are very expensive.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I ordered my dress, my bridesmaids, and my flowergirl dresses there. I didn't have a single problem. Other than they are under staffed, I would recommend people to go there. The Bridal Suite of Centereach seemed trashy to me.

Re: Paradise Bridal
My friend ordered her dresses from there and they ruined my dress in so many ways and hemed another dress too short. But in reality you will hear horror stories about every bridal place.
