I need to get 4 of theese bad boys. It is really costly, so I was thinking of telling our parents they had to buy their own. What are you ladies doing?

Re: Parent Albums
My photographer made an interesting suggestion. They said a lot of men don't really show off albums the way women do. So maybe it would be better to get the fathers a portfolio/collage that will display the pictures. It doesn't cost as much but would still make a nice gift!

Since they are kind of pricy and my photographer gives me all the proofs, I decided to make my own parent albums which will cost me $50 instead of $300...you might want to consider doing that.

Re: Parent Albums
Yup, we're going to make our own parent albums. We get proofs and negatives and hopefully a CD of the pics.

Re: Parent Albums
Who is your photographer? If you get digital proofs, it shouldn't be too hard to make your own albums. There are other brides doing this.

Yes I am making them from the proofs...all you have to do is buy your own albums (Im getting mine from Michael's (DIY ones)) and all you do is just go to CVS or Duane Reade and print out whichever pics you want to include in the album, apply them and voila you're done!

Re: Parent Albums
you know save some money and make your own copies of the albums and decorate them up yourselves. Do a scrap book sort of thing! its much more personal and a heck of a lot cheaper!

Same here, we even upgraded ours to include more photos. I'm just not graphically inclined where I can make my own albums, but I plan on doing some scrap-booking of some of my proofs, but never as a gift for someone else. I'm just not very good at it!
