Parent Gift Problem

I am so in your boat. My mother is paying for everything too. FH parents have been divorced over 25 years and neither of them are paying for one thing. I want to get my mom something and get them nothing. So what I was thinking what we are going to do is flowers for FMIL and my mom and RD and a bottle of wine for FFIL. It might seem cheap to others but really I don't care. We are then getting my mom a nice parent album and a day at the spa she likes. The wine and flowers are all his parents get. Hope this helps!

this is what I plan to do, too
I am paying for the wedding myself but my parents have been emotionally supportive and have made the experience so much more fun.
I even bought personalized hankies for my parents that I will give to them the morning of the wedding -- and didn't even think of FMIL when I ordered them

I would prefer not to buy anything for the FIL's but my mom will feel bad if i present her with something at the RD and the leave the other mom out. The RD that I'm paying for because FMIL balked when her friend told her she was expected to host it. I e-mailed her and told her I would take of it.
God, I'm so sick of this and we're not even married yet

i'd say get her a gift - it'll be worth it b/c you'll most likely avoid a big blow up later. maybe a nice lenox frame (as another poster suggested) or if you want look on macy's for jewelry. they've been having some nice sales lately and i got my bm gifts for really cheap ($80 diamond and peridot necklaces and earrings for $35 and free shipping). that way you can get her something quality and nice without breaking the bank.

Thank you for all the great ideas ladies!

I think I'm going with the nice Lenox frame idea for all three parents and then give my parents and FFIL and his wife a separate gift in private.
