Parent Gift question

Parent Gift question

So at the RD, I plan on giving my parents really nice gifts since they contributed ALOT to the wedding, like 80%.

FH's parents (ffil and stepmom) threw us the eparty and I got them a thank you gift for that. Since then, they haven't contributed anything and thats fine. His mother hasn't given us a dime, again fine whatever.

Anyway, I wasn't planning on giving them anything as a gift. I did get them parent albums but obviously that won't come till after the wedding.

Should I get them a little something like a nice picture frame for the RD? Or just nothing. Honestly, I would prefer nothing and had no intentions on giving them anything besides the parent albums.

hmm thats tough. i understand not wanting to give them anything but it might be ackward if they get nothing while your parents get gifts. maybe something small like picture frame like you said would be nice to give.

and i was thinking about giving my parents their gifts in private, maybe back at the house, so it doesn't make it weird.

So not sure yet. We are giving them albums also after the wedding. Maybe we will get FMIL a little piece of jewelery and FFIL a watch. Sorry I'm no help.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET YOUR PARENTS SOMETHING AND GIVE IT TO THEM AT THE rd I THINK YOU HAVE TO GET THEM SOMETHING

Re: Parent Gift question

We gave my parents a thank you gift for throwing us the engagement party (FIL contributed the ice and drinks paying about 1/8th of what my parents did and complained about it the entire time). We gave it in private which is what I think we will do for the wedding too because FIL are contributing absolutely nothing and my parents are helping us alot.
