Parent Gifts?

Parent Gifts?

Is anyone giving their parents gifts? I'd like to get something for our mothers and fathers, but don't want to get one gift for each set because FH's parents are divorced and I'd like to get individual gifts. I'd like to get something personalized, but something useful as well.

Any suggestions or website links? Thanks!

My parents are separated ... (so I gave individual gifts)

Gave my mom a coach makeup case I got from ebay, some trial size good smelling stuff from Bath & Body Works and a cute pair of sterling silver flip flop earrings. Some extras here because she really helped MOH w/my shower.

I got my dad a silver bottle opener engraved with LOVE BLEE BLEE (a silly name he called me when I was a kid).

ETA: These gifts were thank you's for being wonderful parents not as a thank you for any monetary contribution that was made to our wedding (in case I sounded cheap )

my parents have spent a lot of time and money so I wanted to get them something nice but was at a total loss - especially since they hate to travel

I'm going to get them broadway show tickets, a gift certificate to a great restaurant, and a limo/car round trip to and from the city, all for a weekend night this summer

oohhhh...I like the embroidered hankie idea. I also thought framing an enagement photo would be nice.

Re: Parent Gifts?

we are going to get our parents something while we are on our honeymoon in europe. 2 reasons- (1) i can't believe how much little stuff still needs to be done so i don't want to rush it and (2) i love my fil's but i do want to get my parents, especially mom, something big, since they have gone above and beyond what i ever thought possible. so i don't want to give anything out to anyone at the rehearsal dinner so no one feels slighted.
