Re: Parent Gifts?
I think maybe I'll give them the parent albums and a family portrait from that day. That's what my brother did a few years ago and they loved it.

Re: Parent Gifts?
We're giving Len's mom a parent album, and my Dad an 8x10 (he wont be interested in a whole album) so I'm giving the other album to my sis who is also MOH, and making my cake
I don't think we're giving them anything else though

Re: Parent Gifts?
We gave our parents Silver frames engraved w/wedding date for 8x10's to come. Got them on sale in Macy's ... very reasonable.
Then we bought handkerchief's for mom, dad, & MIL ... opened morning of. It was a very sweet, emotional moment.

Re: Parent Gifts?
We were going to get both my Mom & Stepdad and my Dad & StepMom $100 GC to Ruth's Chris steak house. But they paid for the wedding 100% between the two of them. We've only paid for attendant gifts & honeymoon.

Re: Parent Gifts?
My mom and dad (divorced) didn't want the parent albums from the photographer (at $350) so they just want some pictures (maybe some proofs) in an album. I will buy each of them an engraved album and an 8x10 engraved frame.
FH mom wanted the photographer album so she will get an 8x10 engraved frame.

Re: Parent Gifts?
We brought our parents each a hankerchief (ex. my mom got a Mother of the Bride hankerchief, etc.). Each hankerchief has a poem about them (ex. Mother of the Bride) and on the mother hankerchiefs there is a crystal heart charm attached and on the fathers there is a guardian angel pin attached.

Re: Parent Gifts?
Well my parents are divorced too, so we are getting 3 parents albums and they are just like our digital album, not too cheap. My parents said not to bother but I figured we are already spending it and I wanted them to have it.
We are paying for the wedding ourselves too, so besides for giving them the album after the wedding. I just got them each a hankie and my dad some celtic cufflinks (same for FFI) and still need to get my mom and mother in law to be something little. just to show our appreciation for everything they have done for us thru out all our years. And I will give to them at Rehearsal dinner, when giving our attendants gift.

Re: Parent Gifts?
Because my parents helped us out tremendously with the wedding, we told them we would buy them tickets and pay for their hotel (they can choose the destination) for 1 week.
They will most likely go away in the summer, so we can save a little money for their trip.

Re: Parent Gifts?
For my mom I got a wedding hankie that you get to write your own saying on the actual hankie. I also got her a music box from San Fran Music Box Co. I picked the song we will walk down the aisle to (Canon in D) for the box.
For FH mom we got her a hankie and 2 wedding cake candles (she LOVES candles).
For the dads we got hankies and cuff links with their 'title' Father of the bride, father of the groom and for my step-dad we got Special Dad.

Re: Parent Gifts?
I brought my hankies in 'Once Upon A Time' in Malverne. It is a local store that has things for weddings, babies, hoes, etc. I think it is a beautiful store.

Re: Parent Gifts?
Wow, I feel like a very bad person. My parents are paying for the wedding, but each parent album is $650 which we cannot afford, so each set of parents are paying for their own parent album. We will however get our parents gifts, but maybe $300 worth for each set, maybe a bit more for my parents.
