Parents Gift Question

Parents Gift Question

We are getting small gifts for our parents. FH's parents are divorced and FFIL has been great through the wedding process. FMIL has been a thorn in our a ss. She has been completely uninvolved. Only causing problems.

Do we need to give her a gift to the extent that we are the other parents? Also, at the RD when we give out the gifts, do we need to 'thank her'? If so, what do we thank her for...being a pain in the a ss?

Any suggestions would be great!!!

Re: Parents Gift Question

1st, you don't HAVE to give ANYONE a gift.

but i def think you SHOULD give gifts to anyone who has been helping you or just there fore you in general.

if you think there's going to be drama if you dont give her a gift, you could give her something small OR give the gifts away privately.

No no no.....we all know what a psycho my MIL is and did nothing but cause problems. We didn't get her a gift....she didn't even show up for the RD or wedding, so it worked out. But definitely not. Give gifts to people who show support and are happy for you and your FH.
