Pashmina is an almost generic name for accessories made from a type of mohair that is obtained from a special breed of goat indigenous to high altitudes of the Himalayan Range Belt of Asia. A pashmina shawl can range in cost from as little as about $35US for a pure pashmina scarf up to hundreds of $US for a super high-quality pure pashmina shawl. They are known for their softness and warmth.

Re: ??Pashminas??
they're a fine cashmere wrap. Like a giant scarf. On the right person, they look very elegant. When I wear one, it looks like a horse blanket.

I got them in Chinatown too - on Canal Street, corner of Lafayette.
I got the patterned ones - they're silver, but not just a plain solid...they look kind of brocade....here's a pic:
I bought 5 of them (3 for my girls, 1 black one for me for upcoming weddings, and 1 caramel colored one for me for upcoming weddings), so I cut a deal with the dude and paid $3 each. (5 for $15)

Re: ??Pashminas??
if you're looking for something quick, MJM shoes sells them for $10 each. They're a little heavier (read: warmer) than the streetcorner versions
