Re: passport question
This is a good question.. We were probably going to get our passports before we're married officially... so maybe won't be changing name until after that...

Re: passport question
afterwards for sure
why add stress to yourself
you'll be married, thats all that matters
leave the legal documents alone (in your maiden name)
til after you get back. You dont wanna risk GOD FORBID
something going wrong, or getting delayed if yoou know your gonna be abroad

Re: passport question
I was reading some things also that if your passport doesn't match your name on the ticket it could be an issue... considering you will probably order your ticket way before you're officially married... I say stay with the maiden name.

Crashing... but I'm a TA... so I just wanted to let you know...
You need your Marriage Certificate to change your name... and that doesn't come til 3-4 weeks after the wedding... so leave all your travel info in your maiden name.
TSA says your airline tickets MUST match exactly your passport.

Re: passport question
Hi,
I would wait until I got home to change your passport.
On another note, it might be a good idea for you to register with the Smart Traveler EnrollmentUS State Department travel site.
Here is information about the program:
Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country. STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in an emergency.
STEP also allows Americans residing abroad to get routine information from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
