Past and present Church Brides

Did anyone have a problem wearing a strapless to their mass wedding. If you did what did you end up covering up with. Because i really do not want to carry around a shawl.

My church never said anything to me about that so I wore a strapless.

I think it depends on the church/priest. Some are more lenient than others.

I asked and they had no problem with me wearing a strapless dress, but the girls in my bridal party had to cover their shoulders.

My church never even mentioned anything about it whatsoever. I never even heard of that, to tell you the truth!

I had to wear a jacket, but DH church would not allow me to get married at the altar if my tattoos were showing.

It was a jacket made for that dress by the designer.
