ok SO for all you girls who have had or are having any form of a military wedding.....

What did you incorporate?

Was it a full blown military wedding or just little things here and there?

Was the invitation wording as much of a pain in the A$$ as i think it's going to be?

Did you have any other themes incorporated with the military stuff?

i know there are more ???'s i had but I'm having a blonde moment.

Do any of you know of a board that is more for military brides?
Not that i don't love chatting with all you girls i do but i figured they could answer some of my military wedding questions better I loves all my LI wedding girls

We're a military couple (or ex. military couple i guess, we got our discharge, or as i like to call it our diploma, like two months ago)... we decided to opt out of anything military themed, but i know a few couples where the groom wore his dress uniform and it was adorable. If you have any deployment ?s or just general stuff, feel free to ask, or FM

Well...kind of! I love my FH and I honor what he does and all... but our wedding will be 'Military Free'!!! I mean maybe a song or 2 dedicated to him... but no theme or special events!...

FH will be in his dress blues(hes already looking into ribbons and medals being replaced from moving and they dissapeired)
2 of the GM will be in their dress blues the other GM and BM will be in navy suits but thats gonna be a PITA to match the color since its a odd shade of navy.
we may get the honor guard to to the arch of sabers(which i think would make for some cool pics )except for the but tap with the sabe.r. if it is known before hand that it betterr be a light tap i'm cool with that.
he wants to buy a extra saber to cut the cake with and then engrave it and mount it a few other little things here and there.
I'm just worried about the invite wording and seating is gonna be a pain since it has to be certain ways

we have been through a lot of army crap especially over the last year or 2 so i'm good with info but thanks
hes been in for over 11 years and i don't think hes getting out any time soon but it's what he loves so i support him.

My husband wore his uniform, we had a saber arch, I used his rank on the invites, etc. You can see details in the review. I did not use my rank since I am in the reserves now, he is the active duty member. HTH!!

we're trying to keep it minimal on all the military stuff...he will wear his uniform for the ceremony and to take pics and then change to his tux. Oh and we're having a military cake topper. That's pretty much it.
