PAST Thatched Cottage Brides

Original post by JaredsGirl

Does anyone have pictures of your wedding onsite. I would love to see some pictures of the outdoor location and inside as well while a wedding was going on. Thanks in advance

Thanks for doing that! I think it will definitely be helpful. Either place works but lets put it in BHB so if newly engaged people start looking they are more likely to find it

I am also a Thatched bride-Sept 25, 2009. I was there not to long ago and the room was setup for a wedding that used all candles. It looked beautiful! It was perfect with the size of the tables. After seeing it I'm definitly doing all candles. I think the rose petals are a great idea

I had tall centerpieces that were a red, pink and white color scheme. They looked beautiful. My bridesmaids were in red dresses. I used Ivory tablecloths and napkins and chair covers. The room really looked beautiful. The menus were simple and classy. They did have our names and date on it.
I did not add any extras except for raw fish in the sushi bar. I love sushi, so that was important to me.
I didn't do the icecream bar. If you weren't offered it, its because I think they only do it in summer months. I'm glad I didn't do it - while I loved the french service, it took away some dancing time. I think the icecream bar might do the same.
We were lucky and beautiful weather, so we did the ceremony outside. They put a huge fan behind the seats -- it wasn't obtrusive at all, but it kind of airconditioned the outside area.
So many people told me it was the best cocktail hour they've ever been to, and that the place was so beautiful and magical. I'm jealous of you guys -- I want to have my wedding again -- it really was amazing. While they can take a while to get back to you, you have nothing to worry about the day of -- It really was a perfect wedding!
Congrats ladies and happy planning!
